audrey flack & The History of art band

Flack is a banjo player and has a passion for American Old Time and Bluegrass music. Using her rich knowledge of art history and the art world, she writes lyrics about artists with an insiders perspective. The Band preforms songs about artists ranging from Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, Vincent Van Gogh, Caravaggio, Picasso, Mary Cassat to Camille Claudel. Members of the band include Johnny Jackpot: banjo, Adam Grimshaw: guitar & banjo, Deborah Grimshaw: fiddle, David Roger Grossman: bass, Ben Fraker: mandolin, and Connie Evans: spoons, are top musicians known in the downtown music scene. The band has performed at Caroline’s Comedy Club on Broadway, The Roger Smith Hotel in mid-town Manhattan for the inauguration of the president of Cooper Union, The Institute for Feminist Art at Rutgers University, the Yale Art Museum, and the Parrish Art Museum.
